Betting On The Premier League Fixture Between Liverpool And Swansea

Next week Liverpool play host to Swansea at Anfield that I would be surprised if the Merseysiders didn’t win at a canter. Kenny Dalglish’s men struggled to find the back of the net against newly-promoted Norwich but that was due more to woeful finishing than a lack of creativity. Luis Suarez was on fire all game and hit the post twice but couldn’t score while Steven Gerrard showed glimpses of his dynamic best but also couldn’t find the winner. Liverpool will be hoping to re-begin their ascent up the league table with a victory over Swansea having seen their position slide in recent weeks. (more…)

Betting On Manchester City Versus Wolverhampton Wanderers Next Weekend

If you are considering laying a wager on City versus Wolves at the City of Manchester next week, then don’t even think of putting your money on Mick McCarthy’s men. The two teams couldn’t have more contrasting recent records: while Roberto Mancini’s charges sit top of the table, five points clear following their 6-1 annihilation of Manchester United at Old Trafford last week, Wolves have lost six of their last seven games and had to come from two goals down against newly promoted Swansea last week just to salvage a point at home. Betting On Next Week’s Fixture Between Tottenham Hotspur And Queens Park Rangers

Despite the fact that Queens Park Rangers beat Chelsea on Monday, I would still say that it is highly unlikely that they will get anything from this fixture against Spurs away at White Hart Lane. The Chelsea manager Villas-Boas was heavily critical of the match referee Chris Foy and Neil Warnock’s men may not have fared so well had QPR not been awarded a dubious penalty in the ten minute and Chelsea not had both Boswinga and Drogba show straight red cards. Handy Ice Hockey Terms

Ice hockey is fast, fun and brutal, and that’s just from watching the game. Here are a few select words to help boost your understanding of the game:

Faceoff

A faceoff is where the two teams stand in line, facing one another, before the puck is dropped into play. A designated player from each team fights to gain possession of the puck, in order to pass it back to their own team and begin the flow of the game.

Premiership Betting

In the near future Manchester City have a game at the Stadium of Light against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Norwich play Blackburn Rovers at home. In the former clash I would expect Roberto Mancini’s men to prove far too strong for Mick McCarthy’s team. City got their first win in the Champions League at home against Villareal last week thanks to a last minute winner by Sergio Aguero and this will only build their confidence further. And they had plenty of reason to be confident in the first place due to the fact that Mancini has had hundreds of millions of pounds to invest in the transfer market. Even after Carlos Tevez’s meltdown in Munich – when he refused to come onto the pitch from the bench with half an hour remaining and his teammates trailing – which led to his current suspension, City still have a wealth of striking options up front and will surely possess too much firepower for Wolves. Betting On Sports Online

If you are planning to bet on upcoming sports matches then I would recommend that you have a look a the odds that are available online as this means that you will have access to a much wider range of odds due to the fact that you can check out the different odds offered by different bookies without having to leave the comfort of your own home. Rather than trudging up the high street and sitting in a dingy room in which the floor is covered with used betting slips and there are too many televisions on the walls showing horse racing, why not make money from your knowledge of various sports from the comfort of your sofa by having a look online? Passion, The Safe Bet In Football

Today’s football is lacking a sense of passion from the players. The players from the young generation are making too much money and are considered stars even before they have really proved anything. They sign for top European teams too early and lack the passion for their team. Football lacks of players that have passion for their team. (more…)

Who Do You Bet Is Going To Win The Premier League?

The approaching Premier league season is going to be even trickier to call than usual. I am going to be placing my football bets on either Manchester United or Manchester City, and will probably cover my bets by finding reasonable odds for both. Manchester United have already strengthened their squads with the signings of Ashley Young from Aston Villa and Phil Jones from Blackburn Rovers, both young British players that have room for development in the future and are already used to the speed and physicality of the Premiership. Now Sir Alex Ferguson just needs to find a replacement for the now-retired Paul Scholes. Anderson has shown flashes of brilliance since his arrival three seasons ago but has yet to demonstrate that he can fill Scholes’ boots in the long-term. Ferguson is reportedly pursuing Wesley Sneijder, the Dutch International that lit up the World Cup the summer before last and is currently playing for Inter Milan. He has the ability to pick a pass that can unlock any defence, and this is the main attribute that Ferguson will be looking for in Scholes’ prospective replacement. Whether they get him or not, they will certainly be worth a hefty Premier League bet. (more…)

Who You Should Bet On In Upcoming Premiership Games

Looking at next weekend’s Premiership fixtures, there are quite a few matches where it seems pretty easy to pick out the winner and consequently offer chances to make money by placing a bet on them. Sunderland visit Arsenal at the Emirates stadium and though they recovered from being two goals down against West Bromwich Albion last week while Arsenal lost away to Tottenham at White Hart Lane, I would still imagine that Arsene Wenger’s men will prove too strong for Steve Bruce’s team. Arsenal’s squad is starting to settle again after the disturbing departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri as well as the arrivals of Petr Mertersacker, Mikel Arteta, Yossi Benayoun and Gervinho. Aaron Ramsey looks like he could be a real star for them in the future and Arsene Wenger will be looking forward to the day when jack Wilshere is fully fit again. (more…)

How To Make Money Betting On Upcoming Sporting Events

The key to actually making money from betting on upcoming sporting events is to find events where you are almost completely sure that particular competitors are going to be victorious. For example, the week after next Norwich are the visitors at Anfield for Saturday’s five-thirty kick-off and you can be pretty sure that Liverpool are going to emerge victorious. This is because in under a year Kenny Dalglish has completely re-moulded the squad and lifted the club out of the dark days of Roy Hodgson’s spell in charge. The signings of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll using the £50 million that they got from the sale of Fernando Torres to Chelsea in January has transformed the attacking prospects of the team. They have also distinctly bolstered their midfield with the signings of Stuart Downing, Charlie Adam and Henderson meaning that they have a wealth of talent in the middle of the park. (more…)
